Academic Background
In 2004, I graduated Herculaneum High School in Herculaneum, MO. From 2004 to the present, I have attended Southeast Missouri State University. In the Spring of 2006, I was part of the first class from Southeast Missouri State University to participate in a four-day seminar at the Center for Strategic and Interational Studies (CSIS), a strategic think tank in Washington, D.C., whose scholars and board members provide advice to the federal government. During the Summer of 2007, I attended the University of Arizona's program on Mathematical Modeling. During my time at U of A, I was involved in group work that consisted of applying my mathematical knowledge to scientific studies. My group specifically focused on modeling the transmission cycle of the WNV. Our group's work can be seen on the official U of A Summer Program 2007 link above. I am finishing my senior year as an Applied Mathematics Major and will graduate in May 2008.
Interests
Maturing through high school and college, I have truly grown to love what I have learned as a mathematics major. I am incredibly interested in music and movies, and have also begun reading in my leisure time for the first time in a long time. I highly recommend Gavin de Becker's book "Fear Less" to anyone who enjoys a short read.
